"Green Rameswaram" has identified the holy water sites, using old map and district gazette and other documents available with the temple authorities, Coordinator of the organisation Saraswathi told reporters here today.
The water sites named after Parasurama, Narayana, Saravana, Sarvaroga Nivarana, Meera, Krishna, Simha, Brahma among others had been encroached by various persons, and they would be removed.
These would be restored to their orginal shape by the district administration and temple and the green initiative so that rain water also could be harvested in them, she said.
