18 senior IAS officials shifted in major reshuffle in Bihar

The Bihar government has effected a major reshuffle in the bureaucracy transferring 18 senior IAS officials.
The Principal Secretary (Transport) Vijoy Prakash has been made Agriculture Production Commissioner till further orders, while Tripurari Sharan, who was the Principal Secretary (Information Technology with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Science and Technology) has been shifted to the Agriculture department in the same capacity, according to an official notification issued last night.
The Principal Secretary (Panchayati Raj) Shashi Shekhar Sharma has been made the Principal Secretary (Transport) and given additional charge as the Transport Commissioner, while the Principal Secretary (Road Construction) Arun Kumar Singh, who was holding additional charge as the Managing Director of the Bihar State Road Development Corporation, has been moved to the Science and Technology department in the same capacity.

Singh will hold the additional charge of Principal Secretary (Parliamentary Affairs) till further orders.
The Principal Secretary (Home) Amir Subhani, whose continuance in the sensitive post for about six years had evoked sharp criticism from the BJP on charge of tardy probe of various incidents related to law and order in the past couple of years, has been transferred in the general administration department in the same capacity.
Subhani has been asked to hold additional charges as the Principal Secretary (Minorities Welfare) and Mission Director of Bihar Administrative Reforms Mission Society till further orders.

The Principal Secretary (Parliamentary Affair) Sudhir Kumar, who was also holding additional charge as the Bihar State Staff Selection Commission Chairman, has been made the Principal Secretary (Home). He will continue to hold additional charge as the Bihar State Staff Selection Commission Chairman till further orders.

The Principal Secretary (General Administration) Dharmendra Singh Gangwar, who was holding additional charge as the Officer on Special Duty and Resident Commissioner of Bihar Bhawan at Delhi, has been made the Principal Secretary (Planning and Development). He will continue to hold the additional charge as the OSD and Resident Commissioner of Bihar Bhawan at Delhi.
The Principal Secretary (Labour) Sanjay Kumar, who was holding additional charge of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Bihar Skill Development Mission, has been transferred to the general administration department in the same capacity.
