18 tonnes of copper worth Rs 250 crore seized

Two persons have been arrested and 18 tonnes of copper worth Rs 250 crore seized from their possession at Bidoli check post under Jhinjhana police station on Haryana-Uttar Pradesh border.
A truckwas intercepted and 18 tonnes of copper wires worth Rs 250 crore were seized from the vehicle yesterday, SHO Kamal Singh Yadav said, adding that the wires were allegedly looted from a copper factory at Nalaghar in Himachal Pradesh.
One Tara Singh, native of Shimla and Palvinder Singh from Gurudaspur in Punjab have been arrested in this connection, police said.
