Senior Superintendent of Police Sandip Sharma said here that the man has been identified as Paramjit Singh and his accomplice Ranjit Singh, both residents of Jalandhar.
Paramjit has been arrested while Ranjit, however, managed to flee, he said.
The gang used to operate at Jalandhar and Kapurthala bus stands for the past more than one year and had fleeced more than 2 lakhs from three victims after threatening them of making their videos viral, Sharma said.
After making their videos they used to blackmail them, he said.
Police has registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Information Technology Act against them and seized a mobile containing porn clips, Sharma said.
