2 horses euthanised in UP after glander disease detected

Two horses, suffering from the deadly glander disease, have been euthanised in Shamli district, officials said today.
The disease is highly fatal and zoonotic, which means humans can be affected by it.
The horses were euthanised using lethal injection by a team of doctors in Kitana village of the district yesterday, Chief Medical Officer of Animal Husbandry Bhupender Singh said.
