2 injured as prisoners clash with jail guards in Raj

Two inmates were injured in a clash between jail guards and prisoners over illegal possession of mobile phone at Udaipur Central Jail, an official said today.
The clash erupted when a jail guard found a mobile phone with one of the prisoners which he wanted to seize but the prisoners attacked him, he said.
More jail guards canecharged on them to bring normalcy in which two inmates Ahmed and Kishan were injured, the official said.
The injured inmates were referred to a government hospital in the city, the official said.
There were a number of incidents when jail authorities found mobile handsets with the inmates, and the mobiles were seized at that very moment, he said.

A separate case would be initiated against those inmates who clashed with the guards, the official said.
