2 injured in clash during Durga immersion procession in UP

Two persons were today injured in firing and bricks hurling during a immersion procession of Goddess Durga idol here, police said.
The incident took place at Lakhan tri-section when some persons opened fire and hurled bricks injuring two here during a procession for immersion of Durga idol, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Subhash Chandra Shakya said.
The injured have been rushed to the hospital, where condition of one person was stated to be critical.
Police personnel have been deployed in large numbers to prevent any untoward incident.
