The incident occurred yesterday when the victims were standing on the side of the road, they said.
While Pradeep Kumar (40) and Khaleel (35) died on the spot, injured Vinod and Nagendra were admitted to a hospital, where their condition is stated to be stable, police said.
An FIR has been lodged in this regard and efforts are on to apprehend the truck driver, who is absconding, they said.
