2 killed in separate land disputes in J-K

Two persons were killed in separate clashes while trying to settle land disputes in Anantnag and Budgam districts of Kashmir Valley, police said today.
Two brothers clashed over a land dispute at Hatigam village in Anantnag district of south Kashmir last evening, which left one of them dead, they said.
The accused Abdul Razak attacked his brother Ghulam Mohammad Wani with a lathi during the dispute and critically injured him.
Later, Wani was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, police said.
A murder case has been registered in this regard while efforts are on to arrest the absconding accused.
In another incident, a person was critically injured in a scuffle over a land dispute between two groups in village Ramhama in Budgam district of central Kashmir, police said.
Ghulam Ahmad Mir was injured in the clash that took place yesterday.
However, he was rushed to hospital where he died during treatment, police said, adding that a case has been registered in this connection.
