2 Lankan refugees, 2 ferry operators arrested

Two Sri Lankan refugees who tried to go back to the island nation by a ferry operated illegally from Mandapam near here were arrested, police said today.

Saisan (26) and Jayakumar (27) of Jaffna were about to take the ferry to the isle, when they got caught, the police said.

Baskaran and Kumar were running the ferry service for those trying to flee to Sri Lanka, they added.
