2 pc reservation for sport persons in govt jobs: J'khand CM

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said the state would give two per cent reservation to sports persons in government jobs and nutritious food to them.
Das said efforts were also being taken to give nutritious food to the sports persons, an official release said here.
He said to promote football, Kamal Clubs are being set up, and for this the government would give kits to players and competitions would be held at block, district and state levels.
Women teams would also be set up, Das said.
If necessary, foreign coaches would be drafted in to encourage hockey in Jharkhand so that they could excel at national and international level, he said after laying foundation stone for a high school stadium at Ormanjhi on the outskirts of Ranchi.
Stating that girls are not behind in any area - sports or education - and are excelling, Das said migration was there due to poverty and unemployment and the state was committed to stop migration.
Skill training was being given to the youth and they were being connected with employment, the Chief Minister said.
He said animal husbandry and horticulture are the life lines for the villagers as it supports and strengthens the economic system.
Das said the government was committed to end poverty.
The Chief Minister felicitated those who gave land for construction of the school stadium and distributed school kit to the children from the Birhor tribe.
Rural development Minister Nilkanth Singh Munda, MP Ram Tahal Choudhary, MLAs Naveen Jaiswal and Ramkumar Pahan and others were present on the occasion.
