2 persons injured in bear attack

Two persons were injured after a wild bear that strayed into a village in Ganjam district attacked them today.
The injured were admitted to MKCG Medical College Hospital here and their condition was stated to be serious.
The incident took place when the wild bears strayed into Ratanapur village along with three cubs and the villagers were trying to drive away them.
A female bear attacked the persons when they went near the animals to drive them away, divisional forest officer, Berhampur division, A K Behera said.
