2 women in wedding party killed, bride injured in mishap

: Two women, part of a wedding troupe were killed on the spot and 24 persons, including the teenaged bride, injured when their van rammed a chicken laden lorry at Mamarathukaru in the district and turned turtle.
Police said the van carrying 26 persons was returning here from Karugalur, where the wedding was solemnised when the mishap occurred.
The deceased women were aged 55 and 50, police said.
All the injured have been hospitalised.
