20 policemen among 30 injured in clashes

At least 30 persons, including 20 police and CRPF men, were today injured in clashes with protesters, who pelted stones at the houses of two National Conference leaders in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir.
A group of youth pelted stones at the houses of two National Conference leaders at Shahgund, police said.
"Some stray incidents of stone pelting have been reported from Shahgund in Bandipora. Two houses have suffered some damages because of the stone pelting," a police official said.
Police rushed the spot and chased the protesters, he said.
"At least 20 police and CRPF men, including one Deputy Superintendent of Police and Station House Officer, were injured in the clashes," he added.
However, according to local sources 10 protesters and a scribe were also injured in the police action.
