20 students injured in stampede

Around 20 school children were injured in a stampede in a school in North Dinajpur district today, police said.
Students were attending classes at Rahotpur High Madrassa which is located beside the NH 34 in Karindighi area when a heavily loaded truck was passing the road in front of the school.
The school building shook due to the vibrations from the heavily loaded truck passing the road, thinking it to be a earthquake students rushed out of their classroom, the police said.
In the rush to get out of the classroom around 20 students were injured, they said adding two of the students have been admitted to Raiganj District Hospital.
