"2014 will prove a harbinger of peace and prosperity and shall usher sustained peace, progress and prosperity in the state," Lt Gen Chachra said in his message to the troops posted in Jammu and Kashmir, their families, veterans and Veer Naris.
The Army Commander lauded the dedication of the security forces in combating terrorism and maintaining peace in the year gone by.
He exhorted all Army personnel to continue performing their duties with sincerity, commitment and devotion in maintaining the sanctity of the borders.
