The workers were awarded a certificate of appreciation and a cash prizes of Rs 7,500 each during the event organized by the Department of Women and Child Development.
They were selected from over 10,000 workers who served in the field of child development in the years 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16 under the ICDS Scheme in as many as 95 projects in the national capital.
ICDS is an early childhood intervention programme which was launched by the Centre in 1975. It aims at improving the nutritional and health status of children below the age of six years.
