The action was taken by KDMC chief E Ravendiran. The suspension order states that the commissioner in one his rounds last morning did not find the concerned staff present on duty in the B Ward, an official release said.
Since the workers were not there, the cleanliness work was adversely affected. Despite the fact that the workers were aware that the commissioner was taking rounds, they were not present. The act is negligent responsible and is the reason for their suspension, it added.
