The incident took place on Friday when the woman left her parents house in Ananddeeh village to meet her husband, but did not return, Station House Officer Chandra Mauli Tripathi said.
He said that a search was launched during which Ranjana's mobile phone and slippers were found near a well.
The well was searched from which her body tied with a heavy stone was recovered, the SHO said.
He said that the victim got married to Sunil Yadav four months back and was currently living with her parents.
