"The order is reserved on the application filed for recall of part of the order of this court passed on April 11, 2011 and November 9, 2012," a bench of justices G S Singhvi and K S Radhakrishnan said.
It preferred not to go ahead with several other issues arising out of the trial court orders saying all other matters will have the bearing on the outcome of the petitions for recall of the two orders.
The hearing in the matter was concluded with the CBI justifying the apex court's orders considering the magnitude of the probe in the case spreading from individual to corporate house and suicide by a person connected with the 2G scam.
The agency opposed the plea of accused that the apex court's power to monitor the probe comes to an end with filing of charge sheets.
"Your orders passed time to time have not been restricted to one issue of the case. Your orders dealt with large number of matters and not restricted particular prayer in the appeal. Death of Sadiq Batcha you wanted us to investigate and also on the issue of alleged security breach by a Chinese company on supply of telecom equipment," senior advocate K K Venugopal, appearing for CBI, said.
