3 arrested for cheating

Three persons have been arrested for allegedly cheating people on the pretext of providing them jobs abroad and getting visas, police said here today.
The arrested have been identified as Aas Mohd alias Babloo (35) and Ayub (52), both residents of Ghaizabad, and Mohd Altaf alias Fehzan (32) and Ayub (52) from Yamuna Vihar.
Jeeshan Beg, a resident of Mumbai, filed a complaint at Krishna Nagar police station stating that he was unemployed and contacted Aas, who promised to get him a job in the Gulf countries.
"The complainant contacted Aas at his office at East Azad Nagar and was asked to deposit his passport and other relevant documents. The complainant deposited Rs 6,000 in cash as processing fee and further was asked to deposit Rs 30,000 for visa and other expenses.
He was told that his visa will be provided within a month. He deposited Rs 19,000 in cash as advance for the visa and went back to Mumbai," said a senior police officer.
After a few days, the complainant got an email regarding visa for Kuwait. After doubt, he went to Kuwait Embassy in Mumbai for verifying the same. On verification, he found his visa was fake. He then tried to contact Aas but could not reach him following which he filed a complaint.
A police team was constituted and the accused were arrested. "They confessed to have duped people by assuring them job abroad," the officer said.
Police have recovered 75 fake visas, five original passports, 37 medical certificates and four mobile phones and other related documents from the trio.
