A new media tribune is also built while the lighting system and facilities for the spectators at the 60,000- capacity stadium has been improved, the organisers said today.
Regarding the training facilities, two new training grounds with floodlights, dressing rooms and international standard pitch have also been developed for the tournament.
The JLN Stadium will host six Group A matches, including three featuring hosts India, between October 6 and 12, besides two Round of 16 matches on October 16.
At the newly-renovated Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata, which will host the grand finale on October 28, new individual bucket seats have been installed all over the facility for the spectators.
The stadium, which has been converted into a swanky state-of-the-art venue, has been reduced to a 66,687-capacity facility from 1,20,000 after the renovations.
There has been a complete renovation of the fire fighting system, electrical system, players, media and spectators areas, besides installing a new CCTV system for security.
New safety and security standards have also been put into place in the Salt Lake Stadium.
Following are the list of renovations brought about at the other four venues:
Margao: 2 new team dressing rooms, 2 new floodlight towers, 2 new referees dressing rooms, new press conference room, extended media tribune on the west side, new safe evacuation gates for spectators, renovation of all spectator areas, development of one new training site (at Uttorda) and installation of floodlights at another site (at Benaulim).
Guwahati: new 23,000 individual bucket seats at stadium for all spectators, 2 new team dressing rooms, 2 new referees dressing rooms, improved toilet, stairs and evacuation facilities for spectators, improved sports lighting, 4 heavily improved training grounds with floodlights, dressing rooms and international standard pitch.
Navi Mumbai: new individual bucket seats for all spectators, 2 new team dressing rooms, new safe evacuation gates for spectators, improved facilities for spectators, 3 new training grounds with floodlights, dressing rooms and international standard pitch.
