3 elected to AP Legislative Council unopposed

M A Shariff of TDP, BJP's Somu Veerraju and DC Govinda Reddy (YSRCP) were today elected to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council in the election to the upper house by the members of the Legislative Assembly.
The three were elected unopposed today, the last day for withdrawal of nominations.
The announcement on the election was made by the in-charge Secretary to Legislature, who is the Returning Officer for the election.
The BJP candidate was given the seat as part of an understanding with its ally TDP.
