3 killed in lightening strike in Bihar

Three persons, including two women, were killed and two others injured when lightning struck them in Purnea district, an official said.

Lightning struck at four different places under Dhamdaha sub-division area of the district at around 3.30 pm, the Circle Officer of Dhamdaha, Amar Kumar Rai, said.

All the injured were treated at the Dhamdaha Sub-Divisional hospital, he said.

The family members of the deceased would be given ex-gratia as per norms, he added.
