While the driver of the Maruti van was killed on the spot, the other two succumbed to their injuries later on.
The driver was identified as Subarna Bairagi (33). The passengers of the Maruti van were identified as Kalo Mondal and Sukhen Mondal, both aged around 30 years, the police said.
The two injured persons were first rushed to Ranaghat hospital. While Kalo died at the Ranaghat hospital, Sukhen was declared dead at the SSKM hospital in Kolkata where he was referred with serious injuries, senior police officers said.
