Three policemen were killed today in two militant attacks in Egypt, the government said.
A police officer was killed and three others were injured in an explosion outside Talebyia police station in Giza city.
Security forces later closed the main street while three people were also injured in the incident, local media said.
Gunmen shot dead two other policemen on patrol in the city of Minya, about 250 kilometres south of Cairo, the interior ministry said.
Militant attacks targeting police and military have increased after the ouster of Islamist ex-president Mohamed Morsi last year.
Over 500 security personnel have been reported killed since then.
