"Aanya Sharma was hit by the bullet at a marriage function in Yamunanagar on April 18. The incident happened when someone opened celebratory fire at the wedding. The girl was rushed to PGIMER at Chandigarh but she succumbed to her injuries," Yamunanagar SSP, Sumer Pratap Singh said today.
Singh said an FIR had been registered against an unknown person on the complaint of the girl's father.
"Nobody has been named in the complaint. We are trying to ascertain who fired at the wedding. We are also questioning several people who were present there," he said over phone.
