The deceased, identified as Prena Shukla, a native of Lucknow, was staying with her family in Vaishali and was to get married next month.
According to police, the call centre employee was found hanging in her room this morning. No suicide note was recovered, they added.
"We are trying to ascertain why she took the extreme step. Police is interrogating her family members and friends. We have got to know that she was to get married next month," said a senior police officer.
