He also expressed the need for more youth in the party.
"I am inspired by the work done in the state by women party workers and leaders. I would want at least 33 per cent posts to be given to women in the Congress committee for the betterment of the state," he told PTI.
It is still unclear as to when the party will announce the reconstitution of the party's working committee.
Hinting that the announcement will be made once he completes his tour across the state, Upadhyay said he visited Kumaon division in the first phase of his tour, and will soon be visiting the Garhwal region.
