Acting on a tip off, a truck was stopped at Sular Gharat here and a consignment of poppy husk was found to be hidden along with onions, Sangrur SSP Mandeep Singh Sidhu said, adding that Nirmal Singh and Gaganjit Singh were arrested immediately.

The residence of the NRI, identified as Jasvir Singh, was used to store consignments brought from Rajasthan for supplying to other states, the SSP said, adding that the main accused, Raghubir Singh managed to flee.
