As many as 38,835 polling booths have been set up in 20 constituencies going to polls for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections in the state, a CEO spokesman said today.
The spokesman also said that 9,112 polling booths would be set up in the five Lok Sabha constituencies going to polls in second phase on April 24.
Speaking about the preparations for the elections, he said EVMs were being checked by voting randomly to ensure that these are error-free during the two-phased polls.
Over 38,000 state government employees have been trained twice and a final round of training would be held on April 16, the spokesman said.
