4 booked for abducting teenage girl in Amethi

Four persons were today booked for allegedly abducting a teenage girl of Saraiya Ahiran village in Kakwa area of the district, police said.
On the complaint of the girl's father, police have lodged an FIR against four persons, including one identified as Pappu, a resident of Amawa village in Udaypur area under Pratapgarh district, SHO Amethi police station said.
The girl has been missing since June 26 and after futile search attempts her parents today informed police about the abduction, a source said.
The SHO also said that the case has been informed to Udaypur police, the concerned police station of alleged abductor.

Further probe in the case is underway, he said.
