Rohit Chaudhary, the prime accused in the case, carried a reward of Rs 50,000 on his arrest, was held this morning, police said.
His accomplice Anil Kumar, who carried a reward of Rs 5,000 in connection with the shootout was caught along with him. Both of them were wanted by the police and a reward of Rs 50,000 was announced on their arrest, they said.
Rohit, Anil, Rajesh and Ravi were caught by Special Staff of South Delhi police at Dera Village More near mini stadium, around 5 AM. They were in a Scorpio that was robbed from Gautam Buddh Nagar, said Ishwar Singh, DCP (south).
Sophisticated weapons including a carbine, four .32 bore pistols, two 9 mm pistols, 72 live cartridges were also recovered from them, he said.
Rohit, 29, a graduate of Delhi University, had come in contact with some anti-social elements of Dakshin Puri and started committing crimes during his college days. Two attempts of murder cases were also registered against him at Safdarjung Enclave and Ambedkar Nagar police stations.
