The mishap took place late last night when the victims, all agricultural labourers, were returning to their native village Veesa and Danganpur in Sheopur district from their work place Ambah area in Morena, Additional SP Raghuvansh Singh said.
The truck driver, who was allegedly under the influence of liquor, fled from the accident site and is absconding, Singh said.
The victims were identified as Baikunthi (45), Chotulal (60) and Bharat (06), while the identity of one person was yet to be ascertained, police said.
A case has been registered against him and the truck has been impounded.
