Frontier Corps (FC) claimed to have arrested the four suspects involved in the Sunday night attack on the convoy of Salman Mamnoon in Hub industrial city which links Karachi with Balochistan.
"Security forces and other agencies conducted a raid in Ramzan Goth area of Hub town and picked up four suspects," FC spokesman Abdul Wasay was quoted as saying by Dawn.
All the arrested suspects are affiliated with a banned militant outfit, he said.
Salman had escaped unhurt in the powerful roadside bomb allegedly planted by Baloch separatists. Three people including a 12-year-old were killed in the blast and 15 others injured.
Meerak Baluch, a spokesman of the the banned Baloch Liberation Army, had called up media offices and claimed responsibility for the attack.
According to television channels, the blast was so loud that it was heard in nearby areas and glass windows of nearby shops were shattered as panic spread among local residents.
