The boy, Sagar Rakhwadia, son of farm labourers, fell into the borewell at a farm in Karsangadh village of Muli district, Surendranagar Collector Udit Agrawal said.
Rescue teams from Rajkot and Ahmedabad have launched the operation to save the minor.
"The boy has got stuck at the depth of around 150 feet. He has been given oxygen by '108' ambulance service. We have called in rescue teams from Rajkot and Ahmedabad. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) was also called in to rescue the boy," Agrawal said.
"It has been almost four hours since he fell into the narrow borewell. We have not seen any movement of that boy on our screen (through the camera)...But our efforts are still on to pull him out," Jayesh Vaghela of Rajkot fire department.
