Mukesh Ram, the President of Private Electricians Association, Dumka, was knifed following an altercation over use of a lane between the two parties, Police said.
Seriously injured Ram was rushed to Sadar Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, sources said.
A FIR was filed naming five persons - Navin Kumar Ambast, his brother Pravin Kumar Ambast, father Lala Amrendra Ambast and relatives Gajendra Narayan Ambast and Alakh Narayan Ambast - based on the statement of the victim's son Sonu Kumar Ram, Officer-in-charge of the police station Debrat Poddar said.
