Forty-seven naxal sympathisers have surrendered before the police at Rampachodavaram in East Godavari, Additional Superintendent of Police, Vijaya Rama Rao, told PTI.
All of them fall in the age bracket of 30-50 years, he said.
The officer said that all naxal sympathisers were active in the district between 2005 and 2008 and used to help naxal groups in carrying out their activities.
No naxal related activities have been reported in the agency area of the district for the past five years, he added.
