The work on fourth bridge on Tawi river is expected to be completed by the year-end, PWD officers informed Minister of State for Roads and Buildings, Javaid Ahmed Dar in a high level meeting yesterday.
At present, there are three bridges on Tawi to ease out the vehicular congestion on the route.
Dar exhorted upon the engineers to work hard for early restoration of damages caused to various roads and bridges due to recent heavy rainfall in Jammu province.
The Minister took stock of the damage caused to Balole Bridge in Samba district due to heavy downpour and discussed its early restoration.
Dar asked the concerned authorities to immediately take preventive measures to avoid any further damage to the bridge.
The Minister directed for speedy land acquisition for the timely completion of various vital projects.
