59,154 quintals of Rabi crop seeds distributed to Chg farmers

Over 59,000 quintals of certified seeds have so far been distributed to farmers in Chhattisgarh during current Rabi season.
"59,154 quintals seeds of wheat, gram, peas, mustard and others have been distributed to farmers in the state till yesterday against the proposed target of disbursing 1,16,610 quintals of Rabi crops seeds", Agriculture Minister Brijmohan Agrawal said today.
He said 30,323 quintal seeds of wheat, 23,857 quintal seeds of gram, 3,046 quintal seeds of peas, 929 quintal seeds of mustard and seeds of other Rabi crops have been distributed at scheduled prices till November 30.
The seeds were provided through cooperative societies, agriculture department, Indira Gandhi Agriculture University, Raipur and private firms, the minister added.
