The incident took place around 6.30 PM when the overloaded auto was heading towards Farukhnagar from Gurgaon. The driver of the canter while trying to overtake another vehicle lost control and hit the auto approaching it, police said.
The impact of the incident was such that the auto tossed in the air and fell 50 m away from the spot.
All the deceased are natives of Madhya Pradesh who were residing in Farukhnagar sub town.
"The impact of the accident was such that six persons died on the spot while four of the seven remaining injured passengers are in critical stage," said SHO of Farukhnagar police station Mukesh Kumar.
