The incident occurred in Landi Sarak area of Peshawar, the capital of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.
Nine members of the same family were injured when they were trapped under rubble, officials of the rescue service said.
The injured, including women and children, were taken to a nearby hospital.
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shaukatullah expressed sorrow at the loss of lives in the devastating thunderstorm that hit the province and adjoining tribal areas this afternoon.
Islamabad and nearby areas experienced strong gusts of wind and rain shortly after the thunderstorm hit Peshawar.
