Six members of a family, including three minors, were killed today when the rubble from a landslide fell over their house in Kot village of Budha Kedar area in Tehri district, an official said.
One girl, identified as Babli, has been rescued alive while a woman is still trapped under the rubble, according to Tehri District Magistrate Sonika.
SDRF and police personnel are conducting rescue operations in search of the woman who is still trapped under the debris, she said.
The incident occurred at around 4 am when a heap of rubble from the landslide in the hills caused by heavy rains hit the house of the family which was still asleep, the district magistrate said.
The deceased have been identified as Atul, Ashish, Swati, Mor Singh, Sanju Devi and Lachmi Devi.
