The operation is successfully progressing in Khyber agency and during the last eight days, at least 60 militants were killed and more than 25 injured whereas more than 100 militants including a key commander have surrendered to the security forces, the military said.
Operation 'Zarb-e-Azb' was launched in the region on June 15. Three security forces' officers have also died whereas 12 have been injured.
According to officials, the operation will continue till the extremists are completely wiped out.
Several militant hideouts in Sipah, Malak Din Khel and Nala areas have been targeted during the operation in the last eight days.
