Kanwaljit Harjit Singh, resided with her family members on the twelfth floor of the 17-storied Sky Garden Building, in the Ghdobunder Road locality.
It was in the morning at about 6.30 am, when the building watchman spotted her lying dead in the building compound and the matter was reported to her family members.
According to her son's statement to the police, it was late last night when everyone was fast asleep that the victim seemed to have reached the balcony and jumpted to death.
DCP Zone-V Balasaheb Patil told reporters that as per preliminary reports, the old lady who suffered from high diabetes committed suicide after being fed up of her sickness.
Further investigations are on, the police said.
