An airport official said the gale affected flight movement for over 45 minutes from 7.30 PM to 8.20 PM and the flight operations normalised later on.
The seven diverted flights included one Air India Delhi-Kolkata flight which was diverted to Lucknow and is scheduled to land here by 10.30 pm.
The other flights included the Spicejet Agartala-Kolkata flight, three flights of the Indigo, one of which being of Patna-Kolkata which was diverted to Bhubaneswar and the Etihad Airways Doha-Kolkata flight diverted to Dhaka, airport officials said.
