A seven-year-old boy was abducted and later murdered allegedly by his uncle here, police said today.
The child Sadan was missing since 12 September, his father stated in a police complaint.
Tahir(30), had sent a hand writtennote to Sagir demanding ransom of Rs 3 lakhs for releasing the child, SSP Anis Ansari said.
During interrogation, the accused confessed that he took Sadan to a nearby brick kiln and gave him some sweets, they added.
When the child started crying he strangulated Sadan as he was afraid of being exposed, police said, adding the probe is on.
