700 people shifted to relief camps following rains in Indore

Around 700 people, living in low lying areas in the city, were today evacuated to relief camps after they were inundated following continuous downpour in the district since last 36 hours.
"Seven hundred people have been shifted to 10 relief camps after the places in low lying areas including Banganga and Chandraprabash Shekhar Nagar were inundated," Additional District magistrate (ADM) Dipak Singh told PTI.
Boats were used to evacuate the stranded people, he said.
According to him, there were no reports of any casualty due to rains and the situation was under control as of now.
Nine inches rainfall has been recorded since 36 hours here.

Meanwhile, life in the city was thrown out of gear as severe water logging was seen on city roads and rail and air services were affected.
