Police today arrested eight suspected drug peddlers in separate incidents and seized 20 kg of cannabis from their possession, an official said.
Acting on a tip-off, Harveer Singh, the alleged kingpin of a narcotic gang, was held from Vijay Nagar, Senior Superintendent of Police Vaibhav Krishna told PTI.
In second incident, two suspected drug peddlers were nabbed during checking near the Ghaziabad railway station along with 15 kg of cannabis, he said.
The two were identified as Abhishek Srivastav and Rudra Pratap.
In third incident, a man and his son were arrested with 4 kg of cannabis in Kadkad model village, Krishna said.
One more person with 300 grams of cannabis was arrested here, the SSP added.
