The deceased, identified as Rajaram, was found hanging in Bonta park around 9.30 AM today by a passerby who made a PCR call, they said.
Rajaram had left his home yesterday around 5-5.30 PM and did not return following which his family members, including his wife and three sons, had been looking for him in nearby hospitals but could not trace him, they added.
Though there was no suicide note found on the spot, his family members told police he was suffering from TB and had been depressed about his illness, said a senior police officer.
The deceased stayed nearby and used to iron clothes for a living but his illness had weakened him.
